Clinical Services and Departments
The Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center’s numerous clinical strengths are the result of a commitment to excellence by the hospital, its leadership and its staff. This commitment is matched by the cutting-edge clinical technology used throughout the hospital. And, we have many more plans to increase and improve services in several different areas for Meadowlands Hospital in the future. Watch us grow! readmore›
One of our greatest changes has been the revamping of the Rehabilitation Institute to accommodate not only orthopedic and stroke patients but patients who have experienced TBI’s-traumatic brain injuries. Our brand new Neuroscience Institute will be working closely with the Rehabilitation Unit not only accommodating our inpatients, but working with outpatients dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s, Autism and ADD just to name a few. Meadowlands Hospital will be one of four facilities in the world (and only second in the US) to house a Magnetoencephalography (MEG) machine. This non-evasive technology will let us map brain activity in a patient with a brain injury.
Our Laboratory now houses Microbiology thus eliminating the need to use outside sources. This decreases waiting time for lab results and unnecessary costs.
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Department has been increasing steadily and is vital for high-risk pregnant women needing intensive monitoring during their pregnancy.
Patients in our ICU/CCU, Labor and Delivery and Post Partum units have the comfort of concentrated care from nurses skilled in those areas.
Our brand new Outpatient Cardiology department will be very convenient for patients requiring post discharge services.
Our 24-hour Emergency Room has recently had a minor "face lift" thus offering more of a soothing and comfortable experience for the patient.
In our Surgery department, patients can have many different types of surgery from General to Neurosurgery, all performed with expert care.
An Outpatient Pharmacy is now available in the lobby for patients to get the medication they need without making any stops once they are discharged.
The Radiology Department has expanded their hours to accommodate Outpatient’s schedules. Two new MRIs will be here shortly, in addition to new Nuclear Gamma camera, digital mammography equipment, Bone Density and new Interventional suite.
