MHMC Celebrates Nurses Week

Meadowlands Hospital was pleased to observe National Nurse’s Week during May 6th through May 12th, 2013. Our nursing staff is the backbone of our hospital and the quality of the skills and care of this group is what most patients’ overall experience is based on.

During this week many events took place to recognize the over 250 nurses and nurse’s aides that work in our facility.

Each day offered something different to celebrate the occasion. Depending on their shift, nurses were entitled to complimentary breakfast, lunch and pizza. Novelty ice cream and yummy sheet cakes were also distributed. Any hardworking, clinical person will tell you that a gift of anything edible is much appreciated!

All nurses and nurse’s aides were also entered into a free drawing where they had an opportunity to win baskets created by the clinical managers. Baskets included great items such as restaurant and retail gift cards.

All nursing staff also was given a "thank you" gift of a pedometer thus reinforcing Meadowlands Hospital’s vision of not only healthier communities of which we serve, but also promoting a healthy lifestyle among our employees.
