We are very proud to share with you what our patients say about Meadowlands Hospital... readmore

“I had such a great experience at the Meadowlands Hospital! From ER Registration to nurses, anesthesiologist to my doctor – everyone was very professional and nice but most importantly caring! This is what makes this hospital great!"
— Emma R., Meadowlands Hospital Same Day Surgery Patient, May 2017

“MHMC Staff made me feel comfortable and at ease at all times. Nurses always made sure my bed was made and cleaned. I never knew hospital food could be so good. Great meals! Nurses were helpful – amazing staff. For my first C-section, there is no way I could have done it without my nurses. Thank you. Nurses made sure I was in no pain and kept up with me as much as possible. Everyone was friendly and polite. Staff made me feel like family and they honestly cared. At first I was very nervous because it was my first time in this hospital – after my experience I will recommend this hospital to everyone. One of the best hospitals I have ever been to – please keep up the good work!”

Meadowlands Hospital Celebrates the Holidays

05 January 2013

On Saturday, December 22nd, 250 of Meadowlands Hospital’s staff, physicians and honored guests entered the beautiful Il Villagio Risorante and Banquet Hall on Route 17N in Carlstadt to join together to celebrate not only the holidays, but to say goodbye to another successful year for the facility. Attendees were greeted by the pulsating sounds and rhythms of DJ Express who also emceed the affair. Simple but elegant centerpieces of winter flowers and white birch were placed on each table to continue the winter holiday theme.

After opening remarks by Dr. Richard Lipsky, Chairman of the Board and Lynn McVey, Acting President and CEO, guests were directed to a delicious buffet consisting of hot and cold items such as roasted vegetables, fruits and assorted salads, salumeria station, carving station of prime rib and leg of lamb and assorted pasta station. The delicious selections did not end there – calamari, glazed chicken, filet of flounder and eggplant rollatini were also available to please everyone’s palates.

After the majority of guests were able to fill their plates with tasty fare, the emcee announced the first entertainer of the evening – Gregory Korostishevsky, an actor and comedian who has been on shows such as 30 Rock, Conan O’Brien and many more and movies such as "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." He had the group roaring in laughter with his monologue. Next on the agenda was Anna Pipoyan and her troupe who amazed everyone with routines of different dances such as samba, ballroom and even fire eating! Some male guests joined the fun and belly danced with the performers! Anna Pipoyan had been on America’s Got Talent and she and her troupe have entertained at events such as Marc Jacobs Holiday Party and were performers at a Welcome Party recently in New York City for the Ambassador of Dubai! Musician Pavel Newmer was the last performer who dazzled the party goers with his electrifying accordion – playing traditional music and also incorporating modern beats to the instrument. Pavel is an international prize winning accordion player who most recently participated in late 2011’s Moscow Never Sleeps event in NYC.

After the entertainment segment, everyone was asked to take out their tickets... raffle tickets that is! The Administration and Board were excited to pull the "winners" of fabulous gifts such as Macy’s and Best Buy gift cards, iPod, iPad, Xbox, Mary Kay Beauty Basket and a laptop computer. Il Villagio was also very generous to donate a $100 Gift Card to their restaurant! Some winners included mail clerk Peter Vu, electrician John Tichenor, Veritas associate Emma Zarzuela, MEG associate Elena Belkina and physicians Morris Bellifemine, M.D. and Aaron Rovner, M.D.

Next was a much anticipated event – the announcement of the 2013 Meadowlands Hospital’s Employee of the Year! After hearing the recipient’s character traits and why this person was named everyone agreed that the person who was chosen was the highly regarded Linda Gentile, RN. She has been with Meadowlands Hospital since 1986, shows compassion, empathy and extreme caring for the patients in her care in the PACU unit (Recovery Room). Linda’s ever present smile and quiet ways makes her one of MHMC’s most popular employees. Linda received the Best Employee of the Year plaque, $500 check from the Board and a special parking space right in front of the building. Very convenient for the upcoming cold, wintery months!

The rest of the evening was spent dancing and enjoying great music and sampling yummy pastries. Another fantastic holiday party! Everyone cannot wait for next December!
